06 — The Holy Spirit & His Gifts

Goal: To know the Person of the Holy Spirit and walk in His power with balance and obedience.

Key Scriptures

• Acts 1:8 — “Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…”
• John 14:26 — He teaches and reminds us of truth.
• Galatians 5:22–23 — Fruit of the Spirit (character).
• 1 Corinthians 12:4–11 — Gifts of the Spirit (operations).

Truths to Note

• The Spirit is a Person: He leads, comforts, corrects, empowers.
• Gifts are powerful, but fruit is proof of maturity.
• Power must be governed by Scripture, love, and holiness.

Practice This

• Daily: “Holy Spirit, lead me today.” Then obey promptings.
• Study 1 Corinthians 12–14 for balance and order.
• Ask God to strengthen both character (fruit) and impact (gifts).

Prayer Points

• Holy Spirit, fill me afresh and make me sensitive to Your voice.
• Let Your gifts operate in me for the edification of the Church.
• Let the fruit of the Spirit be evident in my life, in Jesus’ Name.
